Andhra University Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.V.G.D. Prasada Reddy has announced that the university will organise the AU Alumni Meet on December 17. Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy will be attending the alumni meeting as chief guest, while Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Avanthi Feeds Limited, A. Indra Kumar, will attend as special guest.
The century-old Andhra University in Visakhapatnam is embarked on setting up start-ups and research laboratories, which will become revenue generators for the university, making it self-sufficient. Announcing this on Sunday AU vice chancellor Prof. P.V.G.D. Prasad Reddy said the university has already created space for 77 start-ups at its new facility in Andhra University Engineering College, six of which have already started functioning.
Andhra University’s A-HUB and Edumoon have together signed an MoU i.e. Memorandum of Understanding in which Edumoon will be the official partner for A-HUB which is an incubation centre according to the media reports. The reports also say that Edumoon will also provide various internships, webinars and skill-based courses to the students. Edmonton is a startup that helps students to excel in their academic careers. According to their website, they offer various courses like Databases management systems, cyber security and digital forensics, data structures, computer programming and many more. After completion of the course, they also offer an internship with their partner companies.
